- Click Next.
2. Allocate Hardware
- Memory (RAM): Allocate at least 4 GB (4096 MB) to 8 GB, depending on your host computer's total RAM. Click Next.
- Processor: Allocate at least 2 CPU cores. Click Next.
3. Install Ubuntu
- Select your new Ubuntu virtual machine from the left panel and click Start (the green arrow).
- The VM will boot and display a menu. Select Try or Install Ubuntu and hit Enter.
- Once the installer loads, choose Install Ubuntu on the welcome screen.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to select your keyboard layout, language, and installation type (choose Normal installation).
- Select Erase disk and install Ubuntu (this only erases the virtual hard drive created in step 2, not your actual computer). Click Install Now.
- Follow the final prompts to set up your Computer Name, Username, and Password.
